THE MANTLES

With a shimmering strum, San Francisco's The Mantles smacked people down with a couple great singles and then knocked them out with a killer LP on Siltbreeze Records. The Wire's Byron Coley wrote that they sound as if they crawled out of New Zealand's late 80s music scene. Others compare them to the Chills and Dream Syndicate - very heady praise! We are charmed that they are closing SS10.

The Mantles will be playing day three of SS10, Sunday, May 22 at the Hemlock Tavern.
